My goal was to emulate the various applied textures of still life. Incorporating imaginative patterns to fill the negative space created an interesting contrast and unexpected balance.
Coming from a family with tremendous appreciation for music, I created a Christmas present, a sculpture, for my Dad in honor of his love for the band, New Order.

The potpurri scattered throughout my home demonstrated great perception of depth and light as still life. In architecture, the utilization of these concepts are fundamental and exhibit unique structures.
During my journey of pursuit athletically and academically, my parents and I formed bonds and broke bonds. Through sculpture, I created a visual representation of addressing one issue amidst many only to unleash them all.
My work is a combination of two still life drawings to form the end of the human spine to the ends of the knees. The goal was to illustrate negative space, natural highlights, and shadows of a human skeleton.
Texture in different forms has the ability to involve the senses and stimulate inferences or mind tricks. Compiling various textures, such as tomatoes, wood, stone and stucco, make for an intriguing composition.
